S
O DAY AFTER DAY, IN GOOD OR INCLEMENT

WEATHER, HE WOULD SIT, WATCH, AND WAIT.

THEN ONE DAY WHEN THE SUN WAS AT

ITS PEAK HE SAW FAR ON THE HORIZON A

LARGE BUMP IN THE WATER.

AT FIRST HE THOUGHT IT MUST BE A SCHOOL OF

MIGRATING WHALES, BUT INSTEAD OF FADING IN

THE DISTANCE IT GREW LARGER AND TALLER. IT WAS

THE SEA ACTUALLY GROWING AND HE KNEW THAT

A MIGHTY WAVE WAS BEING CREATED. HE JUMPED
TO HIS FEET AND SQUINTED AGAINST THE SUN AND

AS IT MOVED EVEN FASTER HE CAUGHT A SPARKLE

OF SOMETHING FLOATING ON TOP. AS FAST AS THE
GLINT APPEARED, IT AGAIN DISAPPEARED.
